If your Kindle eBook is enrolled in KDP Select, Amazon currently provides two promotional options:
⏳ Kindle Countdown Deal
Temporarily reduce the price of your Kindle eBook for a limited promotional period.
For example, your book could be reduced to £0.99 or $0.99 before returning to its regular price when the promotion finishes.
Countdown Deals can run for up to five days, subject to Amazon's eligibility and marketplace requirements.
🎁 Free Book Promotion
Sometimes the best price is FREE.
Eligible Kindle eBooks can be made completely free for up to five days during each 90-day KDP Select enrolment period.
This can provide a powerful reason to reactivate your network, encourage people to discover your book and introduce your ideas to new readers.
📚 Paperback & Hardback Promotions
Amazon doesn't currently provide the same promotional tools for paperback and hardback books, but PublishU can still reduce the retail price of your print book for up to five days.
The lowest available promotional price will depend on the individual book, including its format, specifications and printing costs.
Reducing the retail price will also reduce the royalty earned on each copy sold during the promotion. We'll advise you on the minimum available price and royalty implications before making any changes.
