Congratulations on taking the next step to writing your book. We have now received your ‘Writing My Book’ payment which secures your place on the course.

Book coach Matt Bird is very much looking forward to helping you write you best book and one that is certain to be published.

In preparation for the start of the course please can we invite you to work through the joining instructions below.

Diary: From our website please note the dates and times of the eight course sessions in your diary. In due course you will be emailed diary confirmations. Not all computer systems are compatible so if this does not work for you your entries will be essential. We will be meeting...

Weekly for four weeks

Alternate weeks for two months

Zoom: The course sessions will be hosted live in Zoom so please check the free software is downloaded to the computer you wish to use. The same Zoom Room link will be used throughout the course so we recommend saving this to your address book so it is always to hand. NB for reasons of both courtesy and engagement students are asked to keep their cameras on at ALL times during Zooms.

WhatsApp: All course communications will take place through WhatsApp. If you don't currently use WhatsApp please can we invite you to do so - even if only for the duration of the course. It is very helpful to have WhatsApp on your computer (as well as your phone) because that is the chat we will use during sessions (not the Zoom chat which disappears once calls have ended).

Bio & Book: In the days prior to the course beginning a WhatsApp group will be created for your cohort. You will be asked to post three things, which it would be helpful for you to prepare...

a) a photograph (head & shoulders),

b) a profile (MAXIMUM 50 words, including personal and professional elements),

c) your book idea (MAXIMUM 50 words, avoiding overly technical, religious or academic language).

Schedule Time: Please prioritise time outside of the eight one-hour course sessions. in order to complete the course assignments. The completion of your assignments will take you step-by-step closer to completing your book manuscript.

Week #1: One hour

Week #2: Two to three hours

Weeks #3-12: Ten hours per week (suggested in 2-3 hour blocks)


Session Summaries:
A session summary will be posted in the WhatsApp group after each meeting. This means you do not have to take detailed notes in the sessions. If you are unable to attend a session you can use the summary to catchup and keep on track. The summaries include...
