Simon studied microbiology and worked in the pharmaceutical industry before running Abacus, a business he sold in 2012. He is now a trustee for various charities and mentors business owners, helping them to grow their companies. He is married to Clare and they have three daughters: Amy, Isabelle and Eliza.
