Max had always known that there are secrets about his family and his past: things that just didn’t quite make sense. But when fourteen-year-old Max wakes up in the night and hears a mysterious conversation and then finds a strange stone object and his grandfather dead, he is suddenly and inextricably transported to another world with a tangled web of secrets stranger and more astonishing than he could ever have imagined. The story takes place over nine days. It’s nine days that change Max’s life forever and force him to question everything that he knows: about his life, his past and the fabric of the universe.
Sam Kini is based in the UK with her family and works in Technology. She has always had a passion for travel and became interested in the myth and history of countries where she was struck by how many things we still don’t really understand about the universe.
